Meet our Board of Directors

Ontario Student Voices is run by its Board of Directors. A representative from each student union/association sits on OSV's Board.

Ajané Adams, Chair

Ajané Adams is currently the president of Centennial College Student Association. With a passion for social justice, AJ aims to focus on issues around equitable access to education, holistic student wellness and advocating for the needs of students. This year, AJ aims to combat food insecurity.

Nelson Chukwuma, Vice Chair

Nelson Chukwuma, a dynamic professional, combines creativity, empathy, and a relentless pursuit of personal growth. His commitment extends to philanthropy, notably raising $4000 for the Juvenile Diabetes. Guided by core values of resilience, empathy, compassion, and respect, Nelson, a former saxophonist and and varsity rugby player, embodies versatility in both personal and professional realms, epitomizing a commitment to continuous improvement.

Kate Keaney, Secretary

After gaining a passion for advocacy during her 2 years as Vice President of the Cambrian Student Council (CSC), Kate has continued to delve into the student leadership world through her work as the current President of CSC and the Secretary of OSV. Kate most recently graduated from Business Administration and is driven to utilize her education to build and maintain ethical sustainability for the initiatives she takes on as well as organizations she works with.

Dipal Patel, Director

Dipal Patel is the President of Niagara College Student Administrative Council. Dipal has served as Director of Community services for NCSAC, She was also the Student Representative on Niagara College Board of Governor’s for 2022-2023.Her contributions in the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Taskforce and Sexual Violence Taskforce at Niagara College have made a significant impact. She attended the 2022 World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics Conference in Spain as the voice of youth.

Robin Gathercole, Director

Robin currently holds the position of President for the Student Union of Confederation College Inc. (SUCCI), previously holding the position of Director of Athletics and Campus Recreation for the organization. Through my position of SUCCI President, I am excited to now be a part of the Ontario Student Voices. I look forward to using my past experiences in collaboration with all Ontario’s Colleges to help shape the future of learning for all students for the better!

Sam Jemison, Alumni Director

Sam's journey began at Niagara College, where she studied Mechanical Engineering, graduating in 2021. During this time, her commitment to excellence was evident as she served two terms as the NCSAC Director of Technology Studies. Beyond Niagara College, Sam's impact in the student world resonates as the Inaugural Chair and Secretary of Ontario Student Voices. Sam played a pivotal role in designing and launching OSV, where she now looks on in awe at the incredible foundation laid.

Lynn Courville, Alumni Director

Lynn is returning this year as one of our alumni board members. As an inaugural board member, she is a valued member of our board. Lynn recently graduated from Laurentian University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. With over four years of student leadership experience, she has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the advocacy space. Lynn is passionate about advocacy because she believes that there are areas that we can improve on in society.
