Advancing the student experience through provincial action

Ontario's post-secondary students are navigating an increasingly complex environment. The cost of attending college continues to extend beyond tuition, while students are balancing food, transportation, health and wellness, employment, and the financial realities of completing their education. At the same time, students are preparing to enter a labour market that increasingly demands both education and practical experience.

As a provincial voice for Ontario college and polytechnic students, Ontario Student Voices (OSV) works to ensure that provincial policy reflects the realities students experience both inside and outside the classroom.

For 2026–2027, OSV's provincial advocacy agenda focuses on five priorities:

• Transit

• Food Insecurity

• OSAP

• Student Health & Wellness

• Student Employment & Career Readiness

These priorities were identified through OSV's policy development process, member engagement, student feedback, research, and discussions with sector and government stakeholders. Together, they reflect some of the significant barriers affecting students' ability to access post-secondary education, succeed during their studies, and transition into the workforce.
