Dharmi Mistry is the Research & Policy Analyst at Ontario Student Voices

Dharmi leads the research efforts for our advocacy initiatives, thoroughly investigating and preparing detailed policy briefs on our key priorities. She ensures that both staff and the board are kept informed about current government policies that may impact students and offers essential support for all advocacy-related activities.

She completed a double major in Political Science and Criminology, Law & Society, with a minor in Sociology and a certificate in Global Perspectives from the University of Toronto. Dharmi is currently a graduate student in the Master of Applied Politics program at Wilfrid Laurier University.

She is passionate about social policy, specifically in education, housing, and climate change. She participated in numerous qualitative research projects, including environmental scans and literature reviews, all aimed at deepening her understanding of her policy interest areas. Dharmi is also working towards becoming a certified Project Management Professional to effectively apply her research, analytical, and collaboration skills in policy planning at the provincial level.
