OSV has been actively engaging with MPPs and Ministries as we prepare for a new advocacy year with both new and continued priorities. We’ve held meetings with MPP Peggy Sattler, MPP David Smith, MPP Kristyn Wong-Tam, the Director of Policy at the Ministry of Colleges and Universities and the policy team from Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, to discuss urgent student issues, including college funding, students perspective on tariffs, work integrated learning and the poverty reduction strategy.
We also have several upcoming meetings scheduled with MPPs throughout the remainder of the month, as we continue to brief them on the evolving challenges facing students across the province.
In addition, we’ve been refining our advocacy strategy for the year ahead, identifying priority issues based on student feedback and political opportunity. Our goal remains the same: to ensure student voices are not just heard but drive tangible change at Queen’s Park.
